North Central Missouri College issued the following announcement on Nov. 19.
Monday, November 18th Several state and federal legislators, as well as higher education officials, attended North Central Missouri College’s annual Legislative Forum. In attendance were Representatives Allen Andrews, J. Eggleston, Danny Busick, Rusty Black, and Dr. Jim Neely. Representing Senator Dan Hegeman was Drew Dampf. For federal representation Joe Hegeman for Congressman Sam Graves, Brandt Shields for Senator Roy Blunt, and Elizabeth Johnson for Senator Josh Hawley. Also in attendance were Brian Millner, President of the Missouri Community College Association, and Gerren McHam, Special Assistant for External Relations for the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development. NCMC Foundation member Gary Black moderated the event.
Individuals presented their critical items for the upcoming session and addressed funding for higher education to NCMC students, faculty/staff, trustees, and the community. Those in attendance were also able to take questions from the crowd and media outlets.
